CRIME ALERT NEWSLETTER

Ramsey Hill Association is committed to keeping residents informed about crime prevention learning opportunities and critical public safety incidents. Please sign up for the Crime Alert email list to learn about incidents in the neighborhood and new ways to keep our community safe. We work closely with the Saint Paul Police Department Western District Headquarters and the SPPD Crime Prevention Unit, and we actively monitor local news, social media, and crime reports to help you stay informed about public safety incidents and law enforcement efforts that impact Ramsey Hill.

SPPD WESTERN DISTRICT MONTHLY MEETING

The SPPD Western District’s Monthly Community Meeting is held every third Tuesday starting at 9am for the morning session and 6pm for the evening session. All are welcome to attend.

VOLUNTEER

We are looking for volunteers to help form a Crime Prevention Committee. The goal is to grow our capacity to have additional eyes and ears at crime prevention meetings and to disseminate crime prevention information.  If you’re interested in learning more, reach out to Bryan Whitaker here.

VIRTUAL BURGLARY PREVENTION CLASS

To help us stay ahead of potential burglars, robberies, assault and more, the SPPD Crime Prevention Unit will host a “Crime Prevention 101” Virtual Class on Wednesday, September 27th. You can register for this virtual online course below.

RAMSEY COUNTY SECURE HOMES PROGRAM

Many of you have asked, “What is being done to stem the tide of juvenile crime in our region, especially with Totem Town shut down?” The good news is there is some progress on that front. Here’s a story from WCCO TV news that shows how efforts by a local family resulted in local elected officials setting aside $10 million in the Minnesota public safety bill for Ramsey County to build up to seven new secure "homes" for kids convicted of crimes.
